You must turn on data roaming
Every eSIM plan is a roaming profile on a partner network. That is true even for a plan bought for the country you are standing in. With data roaming off, your phone will refuse to connect. It is a per-SIM setting, so switching it on for the Sila eSIM leaves your normal line untouched and costs you nothing.
